Hi, Lauren — the typhoon devastated us, but with so much prayers and trust in Him (God), I am sure we can all rise from this. We’re still lucky. In other parts of the Philippines where the typhoon also went, there were more damages.

Hi, Teng–this is a good thing for these women as things are. However, I am persuaded that God’s way is marriage–not for all, but as a social foundation–and I pray that God would send help to your male counterparts, who will work in turn to become marriageable and lead their peers to become marriageable. “Marriageable,” of course, is a comprehensive state, and includes social and economic skills to accomplish the standard of living upgrades you envision, and a structure for continuity. May God bless the men and women of Palawan and lead it to conform to His ways.

And cheers to you! I’m so sorry to hear of the typhoon last week; I hope damage was not too bad and that things are being restored peaceably.

Hi, Lauren — thanks for linking my Blog to your Compañeros I appreciate that.

One of the reasons why I wrote this blog is to tell people out there that there’s an organization here of purely women who want to upgrade their standard of living by bringing home extra income.

Tagbalay Foundation is receiving funds from the UNDP but it also has other projects. WIN International, so far, is the only NGO that’s helping them.

Teng, this is fascinating. I used to spin wool yarn and I knit, but nothing like this. Silk is such a perfect God-given fiber for all climates and all seasons, and it is so beautiful.

I have a friend who spins lace-weight yarn, and she will love this; I am going to introduce her to your blog. In fact, I am adding your blog to my Companeros in my Links.

May God prosper these women as they learn and market their craft.
